This workshop, hosted by Stop AAPI Hate, offers journalists and attendees information and conversation about a number of core issues that have come to the fore surrounding reporting on anti-AAPI hate. Stop AAPI Hate will discuss the current data, context and polices surrounding the surge in anti-AAPI hate, the types of discrimination, and will disaggregate the data along factors including ethnicity, class and gender to reflect the intersectional nature of racism. The conversation will focus on providing facts, nuance and context around the core tensions that repeatedly emerge in reporting and discourse around anti-AAPI hate.
