The celebrated AAJA tradition is back in 2022 for its 32nd year! And for the first time since 2019, we’re LIVE and in-person at #AAJA22 in Los Angeles! After two years of singing from bedrooms, it will be a breath of fresh air to finally hear our #AAJAFamily’s voices in-person.
On July 30 at 8 p.m. PT, right after the gala, join our seasoned host Frank Bi as he leads us through for the chance to show your chops. All the AAJA karaoke stars will be coming out for special appearances and special performances! Simply put: It’s going to be awesome and you should not miss it.
What’s at stake? The winner of AAJA Karaoke will not only take home the coveted George Kiriyama Karaoke Trophy (which will be making its in-person debut, after two years of only seeing it on Zoom); they’ll also receive a travel package from MGM Studios.
You are encouraged to sing for fun and won’t be judged as part of the competition. Groups and chapters are always welcome to sing and will have priority.
For those who want to compete: People who want to enter the competition can designate their entry as such. It’s not just about your singing ability, but also your stage presence and crowd engagement, so folks are encouraged to get creative.
